BACK INJECTION

BACK INJECTION

Back injection/back embossing is the insertion of textiles, fine wood or foils in the injection mold, which are back-injected with plastic from the back. The list of decorative materials that can be used, such as artificial leather, Alcantara, knitted fabric or felt, is long. These are fixed in the tool using special holding devices. Depending on the component design, additional clamping bars or variably adjustable clamping systems can be used. The injection usually takes place directly on the back using cascade injection. The tool separation is carried out with gaps that are precisely matched to the decor to be used.

Components can also be used in back injection soft touch can be produced.

For this purpose, the tool should be equipped with an injection-compression function in order to enable the melt to enter as gently as possible.

With this technology we use tools for, among other things, pillar coverings, seat back panels, armrests or parcel shelves.
